Stephen’s vast and varied experience includes all areas of civil litigation, personal injury, contract law, family law and service as a NFL Member Contract Adviser. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from The State University of New York at Albany in 1989 and a Juris Doctor degree from Whittier College School of Law in 1992.
During law school, Stephen clerked for a Wall Street law firm and several law firms in Los Angeles.
Initially licensed in California in 1992, Stephen was an associate attorney with Berger & Stolar of Beverly Hills, Stoll, Nussbaum and Polakov of Los Angeles, Reff & Aderonmu of North Hollywood and Klein, Testan & Brundo, LLC of Tustin, CA.
He is currently licensed in Texas, California and Colorado.
In 1999, Stephen moved his family to Austin, Texas to start his own law firm where he focused his practice on asbestos litigation, business & contract law, construction litigation, Deceptive Trade Practice Act Claims and estate planning.
Since 2008, Stephen has focused his practice on family law and asset recovery and he lives in Lakeway with his wife Jessica and his three children.
Jessica’s legal experience involves all areas of civil litigation including insurance coverage, business litigation, commercial litigation, construction law, product liability, premises liability, contract law, family law, and admiralty and maritime transportation and cargo matters. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut in 1997 and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut in 2003.
During law school, Jessica was a member of the Connecticut Moot Court Board, the Connecticut Mock Trial Team, an editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, and Vice Justice of Phi Alpha Delta. She has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2003, and was licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in 2004, the Eastern District of Texas in 2005, the Northern District of Texas in 2010, the Western District of Texas in 2010, and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in 2007.
Before joining Putonti Law Firm, PLLC in January 2015, Jessica was a partner with Dorsett Johnson & Swift, LLP in Bee Cave from 2010 through 2014. She was a Senior Associate with Fee, Smith, Sharp & Vitullo, LLP, in Austin from 2009 through 2010, a Senior Associate with Royston, Rayzor, Vickery & Williams in Houston from 2003 through 2009, and an Account Executive with the Special Liability Group for Travelers Insurance in Hartford, CT, from 1997 through 2001.
Jessica served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate in Houston, TX representing the best interests of children in the custody of the State of Texas. She was a member of the 2005-2006 Leadership Academy class in Houston, Texas and was the founder and co-chair of the Houston Young Lawyers’ Association HAYS Center Committee providing legal seminars to teenagers in state custody regarding their rights and responsibilities once they turn eighteen and “age out” of the system. She also volunteered her time with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program representing parties in family law matters.
Jessica is the current Secretary and Legal Counsel for the Lakeway Police Foundation and an appointed member of the City of Lakeway Board of Ethics Commission and the RM 620 Feasibility Study Committee for the City of Lakeway.
Jessica lives in Lakeway with her husband, Stephen and their daughter Elaina. She enjoys volunteering with her daughter’s school and LTYA Cheerleading, and spending time on the lake with her family.
Rosson Richardson is the Chief Operating Officer of PLF Management, PC and the Director of Operations of Putonti Law Firm, LLLP. Rosson is the Founder and President of Surgical Strike, LLC, a petroleum land services company and has served as Chief Operating Officer and VP of Business Development for several financial firms. In addition to his executive roles, Rosson has owned and operated several companies ranging from surgical distributorships to off-shore charter fishing businesses. Rosson attended the University of North Carolina, Loyola University Chicago and American Military University. He is passionate about hunting and fishing. Rosson has a wonderful daughter and two crazy Boykin Spaniels that occupy most of his free time.
Rosson’s role in Putonti Law Firm is to manage all aspects of the firms operations.
Leigh has been working in the legal community as a paralegal since 2001. She helps our clients understand the requirements of their case and organize their information so that effective and efficient legal representation can occur. As a paralegal, Leigh conducts legal and factual research, organizes client’s information, drafts legal documents, and manages the progress of the case for timely and efficient disposition. She understands and appreciates our client’s needs, concerns and goals.
Client communication and participation in their case is vital and often determines the outcome of the matter. As an experienced paralegal, Leigh knows and appreciates the client’s need to move their case along in a timely and efficient manner and the need to cooperate with the law firm to provide the most current and accurate information.
